Rubicon Valley is located approximately 40km from Lake Coleridge Lodge and the trip there and back adds to the experience. From the Lodge you will need to go via the famous Canterbury High Country road of the Lyndon Road crossing some High Country Tussock along the way. You then arrive at the shores of Lake Lyndon a perfect spot for a picnic or rest before descending the short but majestic Porter's Pass to Springfield and Rubicon Valley.
