Below a just Some of the basic Questions so far (ones that are for public viewing that is),
1. We are interested can we view figures ? - Yes, go to the For Sale homepage, download a "Confidentiality and non-Disclosure" statement, complete and get it back to us either by scan or fax. Once receieved we will give you a user name and password to access all this info direct on this website. Its as easy as that.
2. Can we get to see more pictures ? - Sure, we have posted over 300 pictures on a web site for you to browse simply go to www.flickr.com/lakecoleridgelodgeforsale
3. Does the lodge come with everything ? - Yep, sure does. All you need is your stuff. Just rock up and operate, its a turn-key package that includes all the plat, equipment etc the lot, you can even cut the grass !
4. Are there schools close by ? - Yep, Primary school is located at Windwhistle and high school at Darfield. A school bus comes up to Lake Coleridge to collect the kids daily and its free of charge.
5. We love the thought of the Lodge but know we would not sell our house that quickly. Would you consider our house as part payment ? - Yes, in principle this is not out of the question and is something we will explore if you wish.
6. We wish to start a hunting, fishing and tramping base lodge. Is there anything around and is this possible ? - Yep, sure can. There is currently no commercial operator for any of these in the area. These are things a lot of guests ask for and the opporunity is there to seize them. One thing you have overlooked that is a real summer past-time is jet boating. With the Rakaia river on our doorstep, this is a real tourist spinner for you and easily done.
7. Can we use an Agent instead of raising questions directly with the Vendor ? - Yes, we have appointed Phillipa Gill of Harcourts to provide this service. Phillipa can access all the info that we have avaiable to us and can be contacted directly by clicking here, http://www.harcourts.co.nz/Property/View/SY2310/114-Hummocks-Road
8. Why are we selling ? The easiest question to answer. Basically, Gareth continues to work full-time and more ! he just can’t give up what he enjoys and is not ready to de-stress yet. For a number of months he was community back and forth to Auckland and of late now into Christchurch and beyond daily. Such are work commitments he is unable to actively run the lodge to its fullest potential. When he gets back here its sleep then off again ! and with the business now busy this is impossible unless we scale the business back etc… The lodge has grown hugely in difficult times mainly because of Gareth and Dorita’s passion to make this happen and rather than stop the lodge business turning this into a home, or scale it back it would be more appropriate to sell this well established venture. This way a new owner gets the benefit of a growing and grown business and not a scaled-back or bad reputation business and the rare time Gareth is at home he is able to help ! The business can be run single handed with ease or if children are involved probably best that two are here to share the work but this can also be chosen. Times can be busy and times can be not so busy and slow, this is YOUR TIME and its your choice how you structure this to suit your lifestyle. Take off Fishing, Skiing, Hunting, Tramping or just switch the brain off you have the ability to make the choice.
