Activities

New to the Lodge for your relaxation is an Infrared Sauna.

Fully equipped with a CD Player, reading lights and a water table, this is the ultimate in relaxation. They've been around forever but it's only been more recent that people have really started to sit up and take notice of the health benefits saunas offer. Even medical professionals are beginning to endorse the medical benefits of infrared saunas. Helping with our circulation and cardiovascular system are just a couple of the numerous health benefits to note.

Generally when we think about a sauna we think of steam coming from water over hot rocks or some other heating device. How ever with advancements in the technology behind today's portable sauna, and sauna heater systems we are now able to enjoy the same wonderful heat, but without the steam. Both an electric Sauna heater, and a ceramic sauna heater are capable of supplying beautiful dry heat, without the requirement of water.

So what type of sauna is actually best for you? There are both dry heat and wet heat options when it comes to saunas at spas, or sauna kits. Of course both create a beautiful warmth that is relaxing, the difference is really how the heat is generated. For a home sauna it's easer to use an infrared sauna or dry sauna.

Sauna health is different for each type of sauna. While heat therapy and the use of saunas to aid aches and pains has been going on long before it was ever documented there are some unique benefits that each type of sauna offers. For instance infrared saunas are preached that they have detoxification properties, while a steam room provides more help to those with breathing troubles.

Your sauna experience will be most enjoyed and it is avaiable at the Lodge at a cost effective introductory price of just $30 per session of 90 mins and this includes your towels as well. We have introduced the Sauna at this price so that you will relax and enjoy and not stress over the cost of facilities.
