  3. En-Suite Rooms with Catering:

Please note that transfers are only available to Lodge guests and should be booked in advance. Each trip is limited to 5 people on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important Tips:

  • For safety reasons, avoid attempting to cross the Rakaia River on foot near the Lodge or Glenrock Stream trailhead, as it can be hazardous.
  • Stay on the side of the road when walking, especially on narrow roads, to ensure your safety.
  • Hitch-hiking is possible but at your own risk, and locals may offer rides if convenient.
  • Methven Travel offers a school bus service from Methven, but it must be booked in advance.
  • Please do not send parcels to the Lodge without a confirmed booking, as unknown packages will be returned to the sender.

Dry Goods Storage:

  • Lodge guests can send a supply box (bounce box) of non-perishable food for free.
  • Inform us when booking your accommodation to arrange this service. It is only available to our guests, and the nearest shops for resupply are in Methven.

Booking Essentials:

  • Contact us directly to book your stay and to inquire about planned closures.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Date changes are possible subject to availability and must be requested at least 2 days before your booked date.

South-bound and North-bound walkers:

  • Re-confirm your arrival date from Arthur’s Pass (South-bound) or Mt. Somers/Mt. Potts Lodge (North-bound).

Camping:

  • There is no camping at the Lodge or near Lake Coleridge Village.
  • Official campgrounds are at Harper Village (free) and Rakaia Gorge (small charge).
  • Freedom camping is not legally permitted between these two campgrounds. Plan accordingly to use official campgrounds. Landowners may enforce this restriction.
